The Department of Home Affairs has advised that no partner visa or sponsorship changes will happen on 13th November as previously suspected. This will come as a relief for scores of partner visa applicants and their sponsors.
It was earlier believed that the changes would take place on 13 November along with other updates to immigration legislation. However, once again it has been proven that “political survival” tends to trump any apparent needed changes to legislation.
So for now, we all take a breath and wait until next time.
