Updates on NSW Skills Lists and Migration Program for 2023-24
Allocation Breakdown and Program Overview
New South Wales (NSW) unveils its skilled nomination quotas for the 2023-24 period, reinforcing its dedication to skilled migration and economic progress. The allocations are as follows:
Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190): 2,650 places
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491): 1,500 places
Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP): 0 places
Invitation rounds are expected to commence toward the end of September.
While maintaining last year’s nomination guidelines, NSW is considering adjustments to the skilled occupation list, aligning with current needs. Any changes will be promptly communicated on the official website.
Throughout the financial year, NSW will conduct skilled invitation rounds, anticipated to be competitive. As an invitation isn’t guaranteed, potential migrants are advised to explore various migration paths, not solely relying on an invitation.
