Exciting Update: Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) Announced

This comprehensive list of 456 occupations (see attached) is designed to align migration pathways with Australia’s evolving labour market needs, offering expanded opportunities for skilled migrants.

What Is the Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL)?

The CSOL represents a modernised framework, replacing the Medium- and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). By removing the distinctions between medium- and short-term occupations and eliminating inapplicability caveats, the CSOL creates more inclusive access to skilled migration opportunities.

The CSOL forms the backbone of the Skills in Demand (SID) Visa and the Direct Entry pathway for the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa, streamlining pathways for both temporary and permanent migration.
