Migration Tasmania Announces Closure to New ROIs for 2023-24

Important Notice on the 2023-24 Program Closure and Next Steps for Applicants

Migration Tasmania has announced the closure of the 2023-24 Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program to new Registrations of Interest (ROIs) as of 6 June 2024. Key points include:

  • Invitations to Apply: If you have already received an invitation to submit a nomination application, you may still do so before the invitation expiry date. However, no new invitations will be issued for the remainder of this program year.
  • Assessment of Applications: Migration Tasmania will continue to assess lodged applications, but with limited nomination places remaining, not all applicants will receive nominations this year.
  • Future Nominations: Approved applications that exceed the remaining places will be processed when the 2024-25 allocation is received.
  • ROIs with Green or Gold Pass: These will remain in the Application Gateway and will be considered when the new program year opens.
  • Next Program Year: Information about the 2024-25 program will be published on the website and in the Migration Tasmania newsletter.

Candidates with existing ROIs allocated a Green pass will be considered for nomination in the new program year if places run out before they are invited. All such ROIs will remain valid until an invitation is issued.
