Tasmania Skilled Migration Update – Processing Status and Nomination Usage

Nearly 90% of Nomination Places Utilised as of 5 May 2025

As of 5 May 2025, Migration Tasmania has used 1,703 of 2,100 subclass 190 nomination places and 636 of 760 subclass 491 places. The oldest unallocated application was lodged on 11 April 2025. Restrictions on new ROIs may be introduced soon due to high uptake. Candidates with at least one Orange-Plus attribute remain high priority and all subclass 190 applicants in this category will be invited this program year. Skilled employment is required to qualify for Orange-Plus. Approved nominations beyond available places will be finalised in the 2025–26 program year.
